San Diego Women’s chorus is a non-profit community chorus that strives to use the power of women and the power of music to entertain and inspire audiences as well positively change the world we live in. We were founded in 1987 by women who identified themselves as lesbians and feminists; and we still hold these values that each woman should be able to express her sexuality and live authentically in the world as we embrace our personal freedoms and responsibilities.
We invite all women of all skill levels to come and sing with us. Reading music is a plus, not a requirement. All we ask is that you have a love of music, be able to match pitch with a piano and have a commitment to participate and further the mission of the chorus. If you are not a singer, and would prefer to help the chorus by giving your time, we are always looking for members of The Accents, our non-singing group. For more information, please visit our Accents Information page.
