We are a sisterhood of musicians coming together to respect and honor each other, the music and the mission of the San Diego Women’s Chorus. Through musical expression, the San Diego Women’s Chorus encourages women’s creativity, celebrates diversity and inspires social action. We demonstrate these values at all chorus related functions. COME FOR THE MUSIC STAY FOR THE HEART!
One of the great experiences of being in the San Diego Women’s Chorus is that we sing ‘Circle Chant’ every week after rehearsal is over. First, we join in a circle and briefly share our joys and difficulties in life, then we sing.
As one member put it, ” I go to a more vulnerable and kinda ”bittersweet” place during Circle Chant, and think of us all and human beings, and how much strength people show in the face of life’s difficulties. Circle Chant brings it all together.”
